The nursing home fee calculated for inpatient care is made up of four components:

the facility-specific care-related co-payment

• the fee for accommodation
• the fee for meals
• the investment costs
• the apportionment amount according to the geriatric care training compensation regulation

The residents are entitled to nursing care benefits from their nursing care insurance fund. The prerequisite is an established need for care. The classification into a care degree is based on the determination of the medical service of the care insurance.

Based on the agreements with the cost bearers (e.g. the nursing care insurance companies), the currently valid fees of the Seniorenzentrum Franziskaner-Hof are as follows, depending on the nursing care degree:

If residents are unable to cover their monthly contribution from their current income (e.g. pensions, rental income and interest income), they can apply for a care allowance. The amount is up to approx. 505.88 € for a single room. Prerequisites for this are:

• the need for care is at least care level 2,
• the existing assets do not exceed the asset limit of € 10,000 (single persons) or € 15,000 (married couples).

If the remaining personal contribution per month cannot be covered by current income plus the nursing home allowance, there may be a claim for "uncovered nursing home costs", which can be applied for via the social welfare office. One of the prerequisites for this is that existing assets do not exceed €10,000 (€20,000 for married couples). A house or property owned by the resident is included in the assets.
